Two Charged In Connection With Heathrow Alleged Pepper Spray Attack
Formal charges have been brought against two men related to a luggage theft where a suspected irritant spray caused injuries at London's Heathrow Airport.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two counts of robbery and two counts of administering a noxious substance, as confirmed by court officials.
These accusations come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Earlier that day, two female travelers had their suitcases taken after getting out of a parking garage elevator, according to law enforcement.
A three-year-old girl was caught up in the incident in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and were eventually allowed to go home.
The incident – described by police as was not part of a series and deemed non-terroristic – led to disruptions to rail services and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the T3 parking area for a short time.
