Star Denies Anti-Vax Position Following Narrating Contentious Coronavirus Documentary

Liam Neeson has provided his narration to a recent film that questions the legitimacy of vaccinations and lauds one-time government figure the political figure.

The Film's Contentious Origins

Named "Plague of Corruption," the documentary is adapted from a well-known publication written by a disgraced researcher, who became famous during the pandemic for claims that Covid was a result of a bad strain of the influenza shot.

The book's collaborator, the executive producer, has previously authored books with controversial media personality the Infowars host. The producer took to social media praising Neeson's involvement in the documentary.

An Unequivocal Rebuttal

A spokesperson for Liam Neeson have released a comment firmly refuting claims that he holds anti-vaccine sentiments.

"Everyone can acknowledge that misconduct might be present within the drug industry, but that cannot be conflated with rejection of vaccines," the response states. "Liam never has been, and remains not, anti-vax. His long work with the UN children's agency highlights his enduring support for global immunisation initiatives."

The statement noted that the star did not shape the project's messaging and that questions about its claims should be directed to the filmmakers.

Major Claims Featured in the Documentary

According to the documentary, the narration spoken by Neeson features several controversial claims:

  • It suggests that pro-vaccine voices have demanded "blind obedience" to government bodies.
  • It declares that "medical science has become highly politicized."
  • RFK Jr is featured claiming, "The big problem with vaccines is that they simply are not properly vetted."
  • The film takes aim at pandemic restrictions, arguing they caused psychological harm that led to the loss of thousands of lives.
  • Concerning pandemic shots, it references a report that they were "hurriedly approved" and seen as "dangerous experiments."

Previous Controversy and Current Disputes

It further cites a historical film about AIDS medication trials on children, which was subsequently the subject of a formal apology by the broadcaster for unbalanced reporting.

Recently, Kennedy directed the CDC to revise its official position that there is no connection between vaccines and autism. This supposed link is echoed in the documentary, despite a recent study from the World Health Organisation reiterating no connection has been found.

A Past Record of Endorsement

Differing from the film's narrative, Neeson has in the past voiced firm endorsement for vaccines in his position as a Unicef global ambassador.

In 2022, he called vaccines as "an incredible achievement," adding that "The conversation about vaccines in recent years has lost sight of how much good they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest collective achievements in human history."

"Plague of Corruption" concludes with Neeson's script stating, "This is not the conclusion of our narrative. It is the start of a new chapter."
