Plane Carrying Pete Hegseth Required to Touch Down in UK Due to Crack in Windshield
A plane carrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an emergency landing in the UK on Wednesday due to a fissure was found in the aircraft's cockpit window, as stated by an official statement which verified that all passengers were secure.
"The jet touched down following standard protocol and all individuals on the flight, such as Pete Hegseth, is secure," a spokesperson commented in a online announcement.
He was traveling back from a brief trip to Brussels at the time.
This incident isn't the first occasion that a American defense plane carrying a senior official has experienced equipment failures.
In a previous incident this year, a US Air Force plane carrying Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was required to head back to the US capital after encountering a technical issue.
