Netflix Casts Ideal Actor for Bon Clay in the Hit Series Season 3
The Secret Organization is geared up to play a huge role in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, even if the true confrontation isn’t set to occur until the third season, and a adored, popular member has recently been selected.
Netflix announced this week that the talented performer is now part of the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will portray Bentham. The role has the ability to transform into an identical duplicate of any individual they’ve laid a hand on with their main hand. The performer, who is non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will depict a version of that figure reinterpreted as non-binary, instead of as a drag performer, in the live-action series, unlike the source material and cartoon version.
This performer joins several other recently announced actors set to bring the group to life, featuring head Sir Crocodile, portrayed by Joe Manganiello, a talented actress as a key member, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who is also part of the ensemble as the monarch of the fictional land.
Even though this character is a important part of the group, the individual will be introduced in One Piece the third season. With season 2 expected to adapt the Little Garden storyline, this signals a major departure in the timing of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could indicate further changes to the story’s structure.
The actor’s combination of excellent comedic sense and emotional depth makes them a perfect fit for the role. Along with their recent voice performance in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and multiple awards for penning and acting in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, showcasing the range they’ll bring to one of One Piece’s widely praised roles.
Netflix's live-action One Piece series is due to premiere for its season two on March 10th, 2026.
