Comedian and author David Walliams dropped by longtime publisher.
Best-selling young adult author and entertainer David Walliams has been dropped by his UK book publisher, the company has said.
A spokesman for the company commented: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the decision was reached following an review of reports of questionable actions directed at female individuals.
The publisher has not elaborated on the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "We refrain from speaking about confidential company decisions."
A Highly Successful Publishing History
Walliams ranks among Britain's most prolific writers for young readers, with sales exceeding more than 60 million copies globally in 55 languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
A number of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into TV movies.
He has published in excess of 40 works altogether, including a holiday title called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.

His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE several years ago for his services to charity and the arts.
This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
