Anthony Joshua Discharged from Medical Facility in Lagos Following Fatal Road Accident
Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, local government spokespeople stated on late Wednesday. The fighter was involved in a car accident near Lagos on the 29th of December, a tragic incident that took the lives of two of his team members.
Healing from Light Wounds
Joshua had remained in the hospital while recuperating from non-critical injuries, representatives had said on Monday. The commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post online that Joshua was deemed clinically fit to continue his recovery at home.
“Anthony and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two deceased friends as they were being prepared for repatriation,” the commissioner stated.
Honoring the Deceased
The two men who died were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. It was also noted that the champion was filled with sorrow and full of emotions over the passing of his two dear friends.”
The news of his discharge follows the global fight fans had expressed sympathy for the fighter in the following the terrible crash.
