An Palestinian-American teenager after completing nine months in Israeli detention without being charged was released.

Mohammed Ibrahim was 15 when he was arrested in February in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, where he was visiting on holiday from Florida under suspicion of rock throwing at Jewish settlers, which he previously denied.

American diplomatic officials expressed satisfaction with Mohammed's liberation.

Mohammed, now 16, required hospitalization right after being freed, family members reported.

According to them, he appears visibly pale and thin, and is suffering from conditions acquired while detained.

Through an official statement, the youth's uncle conveyed their "immense relief".

Zeyad Kadur described how relatives endured "living a horrific and endless nightmare" during the entire detention period.

"At this moment, we are focused on providing Mohammed with the immediate medical attention he requires after experiencing mistreatment by authorities and brutal treatment for months."

American authorities stated they would maintain to provide consular support to Mohammed's family.

{"American leadership considers paramount than the safety and security of US citizens"," officials stated.

A group of American legislators submitted a formal letter to US authorities and the White House, requesting additional efforts to secure his release.

Mr Ibrahim, with four children who runs an ice cream business in Florida, had earlier stated his child admitted guilt to throwing stones after being assaulted by soldiers.

The father hadn't visited or spoken to Mohammed following the detention, learning information solely regarding the treatment via legal paperwork.

He stayed lacking indictment at Ofer detention facility in the West Bank.

Additionally housing adult prisoners, some of whom have been convicted regarding severe security violations and murder.
